I haven’t posted much recently because I’ve been quite busy with our garden and different things around the house. The most exciting news, however, is that we got four brahma chicks last week. They are now two weeks old. We don’t know the sex of any of the chicks, so it’s possible we could end up with at least one rooster.
Brahma chickens are one of the largest breeds of chickens, growing up to 70cm. We need to wait til they’re around the same size as our laying hens to introduce them to the flock. This could be in about 1-2 months.
Introducing … Puffin (we suspect it to be a boy), Bobby, Groschek and Sprout.
